Oh Natural Hair, How We Love and Cherish Thee-Our Greatest Accessory

It is 2016 and most people around the world can say that they are accustomed to seeing and or wearing natural hair. There is no doubt that by now, natural hair is having more positive feedback than it did lets say…a couple of decades back.

Now-when wearing a big, medium, or small fro you’ll notice people stop and stare in awe as opposed to stopping and staring in misunderstanding. Natural hair has become widely accepted these days and I think it is safe to say that it has made quite a name for itself and is only getting more and more popular.

Our natural hair and the styles we wear are a representation of our personalities and may identify our inner being. No this is not to say that we are our natural hair, rather-it is saying that our natural hair plays a large role in defining our inner selves.  Just like we wear accessories that compliment our outfits, our natural hair is our greatest accessory complimenting who we are.

Just like with any accessory we love and cherish so dearly, we should take measures to keep our natural hair from tainting or tarnishing and keeping it looking good for a long time. Whatever your regimen is, make sure you understand that less is more in keeping our most valuable accessory from loosing its beauty.

Now a day, there has been a saturation of websites telling us what we should do and put in our natural hair that it becomes very overwhelming. We need to realize that it just take simple steps to make our accessory look new all the time.

With that being said, the less amount of products we put in our hair, the more it will be free of unnecessary buildup and in return will grow.

The less pressure we put on our scalp when styling, the more it can flourish because of the lack of stress-which in turn will grow.

The less we neglect our hair when we have protective styles and continue to moisturize, the less we experience breakage which in turn will grow.
